Tuition Increase

The Smart Writer tuition has remained unchanged for several years now, but general inflation and an increase in classroom rent have made it necessary to make some small increases. We hope everyone will understand the need to meet the costs of living, while still endeavoring to keep the program affordable for most families.

Please remember that the fees cover not only the time in the classroom, but considerable time spent by the tutor in doing detailed editing and analysis of homework papers. The editing is professional level, something that most students never experience -- and something from which they should benefit greatly if they spend a proper amount of time studying it.

Here’s the new tuition schedule:

Regular writing or reading class (one hour each for eight weeks):  $200

Both classes in a “package”:                                                   $370

First Step classes (two hours for eight weeks):                          $370

SAT Prep classes (two hours for eight weeks):                           $370

Private tutoring (one student for one hour):                                 $60
                      (two students for one hour):                               $45 each
                      (three students for one hour):                             $40 each
